Jukwaa was formed in 2013 as a “piano-trio" by Thijs Troch, Sigfried Burroughs and Nils Vermeulen. After our first album, we invited Jonas Van den Bossche and Otto Kokke for our second, more brutal record which was released on the el NEGOCITO Records label.

Now it’s time for something new : We invited drummer Elias Devoldere (Nordmann, Hypochristmutreefuzz, Kabas,…) and bassist Laurens Smet (Ifa Y Xango, Bambi Pang Pang, Nest,…) to complement the original trio.

Jukwaa 221 will be releasing ‘Cushion’ on the Smeraldina-Rima label in the beginning of 2018.
